Good afternoon,
We are here to share an important update from the 2025 legislative session. The Oklahoma Legislature passed House Bill 1727, which introduces a new teacher eligibility track to the Oklahoma's Promise program. This new track allows children of certified classroom teachers to qualify for Oklahoma's Promise at a higher income level than the traditional financial eligibility requirements of the program.
We've received many questions about this change, and to help address them, we've created a FAQ page<https://okpromise.org/HB-1727-faq.shtml> on our website. While the FAQ may not cover every unique situation, it reflects the most common questions we've received over the past month. We hope it serves as a helpful resource for you and the families you support.
Please note: the 2025-2026 Oklahoma's Promise application is not yet available. We are in final stages of editing it to reflect the new requirements. It will be released as quickly as possible and will be available in the Fall 2025 semester.
You can find the HB 1727 FAQ and other general information about Oklahoma's Promise at okpromise.org<https://okpromise.org/>.
Thank you for your continued support of Oklahoma students and families.
