The Sooner Job Challenge program is a follow-on phase of the Thunderbird Challenge Program and serves up to 60 “At Risk” youth ages 17- to 21-year-old. The Program combines classroom work, technical school training, career development, community service, physical training, and team-building activities to enhance the life-skills and employability potential of these youth. Additional major elements of the program are: career skills, academic achievement, community building and outreach, fitness for life, resiliency and life skills, leadership/followership at work citizenship, healthy living, discipline, physical fitness, practical job skills training and character development. This program is a 24-hour per day, 7-day per week operation with 2 cycles per year.
