[OkStudentPrep] Oklahoma's Promise Update - May 2026

Hello Counselors,
As we near the end of the school year, we wanted to reach out with a few important updates and reminders about what is next for the Class of 2026 and Oklahoma's Promise (OKP).
This week, we began mailing Program Verification (PV) forms to all of our Oklahoma high schools. We ask that you be on the lookout for mail in the next few days. We saw an increased number of OKP applications for the Class of 2026. As a result, you may receive more PVs this year than in years past.
The due date to return PVs is July 1st, but the earlier they are submitted back to us the better! You get more summer vacation and early returns help us identify and resolve any issues sooner and ensure there are no delays in processing scholarship awards for your students.
While the application deadline for 2026 graduates closed on December 31, students currently in 8th through 11th grade may still apply through July 1, 2026. To support continued outreach, we included extra Oklahoma’s Promise flyers in every envelope for you to share with your 2027 or later graduating students.
Lastly, please remember that Oklahoma's new high school graduation requirements DO NOT perfectly align with the OKP required eligibility curriculum. To be eligible for the scholarship at a college or university, students must complete the courses required for Oklahoma’s Promise and college admission.
