Hello CGR Members, Thanks to everyone in attendance at Friday's meeting for your participation and lively discussion! For those who were not able to make it this time, we hope to see you at the spring CGR meeting. In response to one aspect of our discussion regarding indirect cost rates, please see the website link in Janene's email below as well as the attached pdf. I will also make sure this is added to the OSRHE website as a resource for future reference if needed. Last but not least, Happy Birthday to Gina Gordon, and Happy Halloween to all! During the CGR meeting on Friday, we discussed resources for applying (or reapplying) for a federally negotiated indirect cost rate. In addition to the material on the Department of Health & Human Services website (https://www.hhs.gov/about/agencies/asa/psc/indirect-cost-negotiations/index.html), I found the attached guide prepared by the Department of Labor to be informative in understanding how the application calculations are determined. I hope these resources are helpful to you and/or others. Please see below-a free professional development opportunity! Note the hour is Eastern time. This Research Administration Demonstration (RAD) series offers many free webinars on a regular basis, as well as a catalog of past presentations. If you are not already aware of them, check out their website and consider them a new resource. I had tried to forward an earlier announcement from RAD that included the stated calendar information, but the listserv apparently did not like it, so I am including abbreviated information below. If the listserv ends up forwarding the original message I tried to send, I wanted you all to be aware. Reminder, our next RAD Session ("Ethical Challenges and Opportunities in Clinical Research in the post COVID Era", presented by Dr. Arthur Caplan) will be on November 29, 2022 at 12p-1:30p EDT. For those who signed up or saved the date, please see calendar appointment details below, including Zoom Webinar URL. In case your calendar has not automatically updated, please manually enter with the information below.
