Save the Date for a Summer Grant Workshop!

OSRHE, UCO, and CGR are partnering to host a one-day Summer Grant Workshop on July 23, 2025 (flyer attached). The workshop, entitled: Pivot: Research and Grant Writing in a Changing Landscape seeks to help participants identify and develop skills to adapt to the (sometimes daily!) changes of the current grant landscape.

  *   The workshop will be hosted on the UCO campus in the Forensic Science Institute (FSI) building
  *   Participation is open to CGR as well as to anyone interested in grants, so spread the word!
  *   Registration is not yet open, but will open soon-the QR code on the flyer will take you to the CGR page where the registration link will be available
  *   CGR membership will be listed as a registration option
     *   Both individual and institutional membership options (for up to five people) are available
Presenter Opportunity:
We have a few slots open for presenters, and would love to incorporate your voice!

As a workshop, we are committed to providing an experience with as much hands-on practice and discussion as a daylong event can hold.
In that vein, we are asking that anyone interested in presenting incorporate a hands-on exercise (of their choosing) as well as time for questions about the exercise and/or information presented.
Presentation slots are one hour in length.
Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:

  *   AI in grantmaking/grant writing
  *   Faculty training
  *   Developing relationships with funders
  *   Searching for alternative funding
  *   Online grants management systems
  *   Grants 101 type presentation
  *   Developing budgets
  *   Time and effort reporting
  *   Data reporting
  *   International agreements
  *   Converting a federal application to a private application

These grants provide $3,000 for faculty to spend up to three days visiting with NASA scientists to explore research opportunities.
