[Okgrantsmanship] Need information on voluntarily uncommitted cost share

The PUI Neighborhood has a committee dedicated to organization and
communication to the PUI members of NCURA. One of the items is to submit
a content article by November 16 for the NCURA newsletter. We need some
ideas for the next article (the voluntary uncommitted cost share topic
seems to be a strong contender) and to find someone to volunteer to
write it. I will be happy to write such an article if you will tell me
what you do at your campus about voluntarily uncommitted cost sharing on
grant projects. If you do such a thing.
 
Another thing the committee sponsors is the Online Chat, which is
scheduled for 9/26 at 2:00 PM. We will need some "filler" questions or
"leader" questions in case no one posts questions on the chat.  By
having canned questions, it will allow the chat to go on.  Fran and
Courtney can also "can" some answers to those questions.  The advantage
is when NCURA posts the transcripts to the online chat. The chat is
about setting up an office of sponsored programs. Please send me ASAP
your questions about what you think is most important to know. Such as,
how do you negotiate an adequate budget? What types of communication are
best to recruit cooperation from the faculty? What kinds of training
impact the faculty most effectively? What can you do to prepare for time
crunches? See
