I understand the Students of Technology and Information Systems of the Universidad del Valle in Columbia South America would like some technical assistance understanding how to make their Video H.323 Polycom system perform better. Those who video called me today speak Spanish while I do not. One member of their team spoke to me in English, but our communications were made more difficult by this language barrier.

I now forward their email, plus a "free translation" of that email, to the Oklahoma Distance Learning Association and the international "Megaconference" group, with the hope that it will arrive to a person who is interested in assisting these Faculty and Students with technology and who also speaks their language.

I believe they indicate their connection is limited to 1Mb/s which may well be a major problem for them. QOS may be the silver bullet they are looking for. 

I have cc'd Ana Preston of I2 as she is aware of the Research Network activity in South America. I believe she also speaks Spanish.

I hope any of the recipients of this mail feel free to contact Cesar if you feel you can be helpful.

Entiendo que los Estudiantes de Sistemas de Tecnología e Información del del de Universidad Valle en Columbia Sudamérica querrían que alguna comprensión técnica de ayuda cómo haga su Video H. 323 sistema de Polycom realiza mejor. Los que video llamó mí hablo hoy español mientras no lo hago. Un miembro de su equipo habló conmigo en inglés, pero nuestras comunicaciones fueron hechas más difícil por esta barrera del idioma. 

Yo ahora adelanto su correo electrónico, más un "liberta la traducción" de ese correo electrónico, a la Asociación de la Enseñanza A distancia de Oklahoma con la esperanza que lo llegará a una persona que es interesada a ayudar estas Facultad y a Estudiantes con la tecnología y con que habla también su idioma. 

Creo que ellos indican su conexión es limitado a que puede ser bien un problema mayor para ellos. Tengo cc'd hace Ana Preston de I2 como ella está enterada de la actividad de la Red de Investigación en Sudamérica. Creo que ella habla también español.
