Your Participation is Critical to the Success of this Effort

SRA International frequently receives questions from members and their
employers about average salaries and typical benefits for research
administrators. In response to those requests, SRA will undertake one of
the most comprehensive efforts to date to document salaries and benefits
within the field of research administration. This is a large
undertaking, and we need your help in order for it to be successful.
Please take the time to read the instructions below and complete the
2008 Salary and Benefits Survey. As an expression of gratitude, everyone
who completes the survey will receive a report that documents the
average national salary and typical benefits for their position title.
Instructions for requesting this report will be provided at the end of
the survey.  In order to protect your privacy and the confidentiality of
your responses, survey data will only be compiled and reported in the
aggregate. Individual responses will not be available to anyone -
including other SRA members and SRA staff. 

 

Instructions for Completing the Survey

*	Please provide information that is current at the time you
complete the survey.
*	Only full-time employees should complete the survey. 
*	The survey includes 50 questions, so please allow at least 15
minutes to complete it. In some cases you may need to reference your
employee benefits manual, so you may want to have that handy before you
start. You will also need to know your department or unit's total budget
and total annual amount awarded through your organization's sponsored
programs budget. 
*	After you have completed the survey you will be provided with
instructions on how to receive information about the national average
salary and typical benefits for your position.
