Alexis Carter Black is the new Director of Sponsored Programs at
Langston. She reports to Dr. Smothers, Vice President for Institutional
Advancement and Development, and Nate Jones, Grants and Contracts
Analyst, reports to Alexis. Alexis was formerly the Director of
Sponsored Programs at Oklahoma City Community College, and is author of
the book, GETTING GRANTS. Please welcome Alexis to the group!

Hi Linda:

I wanted to inform you that I've changed jobs again since leaving
Oklahoma City Community College.  OCAST was a pretty terrible fit for
me, so I resigned back in November and I am now back in the higher ed
grants world.  I am the new Director of Sponsored Programs at Langston.
I've heard you've been busy helping the faculty and staff with grants
information and putting on workshops over the past couple of years, and
both Dr. Smothers and Nathaniel Jones speak very highly of you, of
course.  I report to Dr. Smothers and Nate reports to me.  I wanted to
add Nate and myself to your list of Grant Resource People and update Dr.
Smothers' information as it has changed.  Also, please remove the
hyperlink to the Office of Sponsored Programs website.  I have been
informed that it is a website from about 5 years ago and Nathaniel
Goodman who was the Director of Sponsored Programs at the time is no
longer at Langston.  I am going to have IT remove it from Langston's
site.  We are currently working on updating the website.
