Thank you so much for sending the agenda!  I would be glad to attend the
GWI.  

Most likely I will attend Monday evening.

 

I am from all over Oklahoma.  I have lived in Weatherford for the 

past five years.  I am a graduate of Newkirk High School in Newkirk,

OK.  I received my B.S. in Chemistry  from SWOSU in 1999,

my M.S. in Chemistry (2003) and my Ph.D. in Chemistry (with an 

emphasis in Biochemistry) from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in
2005.

My most recent position was as a chemist for Danlin Industries in 

Thomas, OK.  Before that, I worked as a postdoctoral research fellow

at  OUHSC for four years where I gained experience with grant-writing  

and the grant-writing process.  While a postdoc at OUHSC, I wrote for 

and received an NIH postdoctoral fellowship.

 

I am excited to work with you and look forward to keeping SWOSU 

actively involved in research activities!

Anita's email used to bounce back when faculty sent her grant documents
for uploading. I got another bounce back, so I am breaking this message
up with smaller attachments. 

 

Welcome to Oklahoma grantsmanship. Where are you from? 

 

I want to invite you to visit some or all of the Grant Writing Institute
during the last week of July. SWOSU has been part of the planning and
implementation for this for all the years we have hosted it, since 2005.
It will be a great opportunity to meet the mentors, some of whom are you
peers in other institutions. I am attaching the agenda and the bios for
the mentors and speakers at the Grant Writing Institute (a big document
because it has pictures). Please feel free to pick any part of it to
visit, including meals. We will have plenty of food for you to join us.
The first evening might be good to hear the introductions, or the second
evening because the speaker is quite powerful. But any time will be
good, and I will introduce you to the group. 

 

I also want to put an article in the next Grant News announcing your
position at SWOSU. I will need a brief bio and a jpeg photo. 

 

It will be great to work with you!
