College of Liberal Arts
Position Summary
Reports to the Dean. Assists faculty members in the College to obtain external funding to enhance their research, service and teaching. Supports all aspects of the grant process.
Department Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Supports all aspects of the grant process.
Offer continuing education in grant-writing.
Notify interested faculty of funding opportunities.
Provide leadership to develop grant proposals.
Create effective grant budgets.
Review and evaluate grant proposals.
Assist faculty and staff with all aspects of electronic research administration, including electronic grant submission and reporting.
Monitor compliance with grant provisions and liaison with funding agencies.
Assist filing appropriate annual reports with funding agencies.
Administer grants as requested.
With the permission of the Dean, be available to assist the university and faculty members from other colleges with grant proposals.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's degree. One to two years successful experience and expertise in researching grant opportunities, developing proposals, and obtaining grants with an emphasis on federal grants.
Preferred: Master's degree.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to work with others as a team member; willingness to perform under deadlines; superior skills in oral and written communications; and ability to seek out funding opportunities and stimulate grant production.
Recommended Salary
$34,175 to $36,185 annually
