Position Available: Title III Strengthening Institutions Program (SIP) Director <http://www.nwosu.edu/job-descriptions#sip> 


Terms of Employment:  Regular full-time 12-month position with current university benefit package.  Position based on the NWOSU Alva Campus.  Position is affiliated with a Title III Part A Strengthening Institutions grant from the U.S. Department of Education.  The successful candidate will provide organization and leadership for the Title III program and will report directly to the university president.  Occasional business-related travel required.

Available: Immediately

Duties and Responsibilities: Establish and provide effective project management and ensure full compliance with Title III and U.S. Department of Education policies.  Coordinate development of SIP initiatives:  developmental education, retention strategies, and advisement.  Attend all U.S. Department of Education SIP Director meetings.  Remain current regarding SIP and U.S. Department of Education rules, regulation, policies and procedures.  Authorize all SIP expenditures and monitor budget pursuant to federal, state and college policies.  Provide leadership to communicate with college and community about SIP objectives and progress.  Lead selection of SIP personnel.  Develop, implement and facilitate the comprehensive SIP evaluation process.  Ensure institutionalization of improvements into ongoing operation of the college.  Coordinate development and submission of annual performance reports.  Train key staff in use of technologies and software developed through SIP.

Qualifications: : Experience in grants management is desirable.  Budget management experience, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and skills in use of technology are necessary.  The successful candidate must have a commitment to educating underprepared students.  Thorough knowledge of evaluation techniques appropriate to SIP and previous Title III project experience are desirable.  A master’s degree in education or related field is required.
