Happy New Year everyone! Welcome to the State's first day of fiscal year 2014. Let's get this year started right with some SBIR related information.

I want to announce the next Oklahoma Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Workshop. It's unlike any workshop you have ever attended and that OCAST has ever hosted. Also, it will be OCAST's only SBIR/STTR workshop until next spring. Attached is a detailed description and registration information. You cannot beat the price for this opportunity.

You all may know that the Oklahoma Technology Showcase is on August 23. The showcase will feature 10 innovative Oklahoma companies presenting tomorrow's technology today. Additionally, there will be a special presentation on the SBIR program where participants will hear directly from 5 federal SBIR Program Managers of this $2.5 billion opportunity. The five SBIR federal agencies participating are: Department of Homeland Security, National Institute of Health, National Science Foundation, Department of Energy, and Department of Agriculture. After the 2 hour special presentation (8am - 10am), each Program Manager will stick around to meet one-on-one with companies throughout the rest of the Technology Showcase (10am - 4pm). If you want to schedule a meeting with these Program Managers please let me know via email. Time slots will fill up quickly!
