[Okgrantsmanship] FW: Horizon 2020, funding for research from the EU

Dear colleagues,

Please find the attached set of slides regarding funding opportunities available from the European Union research funding, Horizon 2020. US Researchers are eligible for some funding on collaborative projects. In general, funding is at a 70% level with a 25% cap on administrative costs. There is a database of previously funded Horizon 2020 projects at http://cordis.europa.eu/fp7/projects_en.html.

The U.S. partner must physically be in one of the three partner countries at least 50% of the time for some of the research projects.

The next webinar provides information about the ERC, the European Research Councils and possibilities for US researchers, on 19 February 2014 at 5 pm (CET) - 11 am (EST). The webinars are free.

Do not be afraid to give your time to writing grant proposals. Time given to planning proposals is never time lost, but is rather time gained, so that our research, our programs, our collaborations and indeed our whole profession may become more profoundly significant.
