The George Washington University (GW) Research Enhancement Unit (REU) seeks to engage research development professionals on a contract basis to work with investigators on large and small sponsored project proposals.

Under the leadership of Associate Vice President for Research, Dr. Jennifer Wisdom, and in tandem with the university’s ten colleges and schools and nearly 100 research institutes and centers, REU provides faculty with guidance and training to successfully apply for research funding.  REU provides personalized support to individuals and training to small groups of researchers.

Required Services:
Review of Funding Opportunity (RFA, RFP, FOA) Provide guidance and feedback on readiness, responsiveness Management of proposal process for proposals to meet required deadlines Proposal review (responsiveness, style) Proposal editing  (writing style, cohesion, grant packaging)

Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Medicine Education and Training Environment Health and Health Policy Humanities International Funding Federal Sponsors Private and Foundation Funding

GW is the largest institution of higher education in the District of Columbia, and is committed to increasing research capacity, productivity, and accomplishments throughout the university.  With an enrollment exceeding 20,000 students studying in its ten undergraduate and graduate schools, and Ph.D. programs, GW maintains three campuses including the Foggy Bottom and Mount Vernon campuses in Washington, DC, and the GW Virginia Science and Technology Campus in Ashburn, VA—as well as several graduate education centers in the metropolitan area and Hampton Roads, VA.
