Subject: NSF Big Ideas: Dear Colleague Letter
Dear Colleagues:
NSF recently released a Dear Colleague Letter (DCL) focused on four of its 10 'Big Ideas' in the context of Convergence. NSF will support network building workshops and planning grants of activities that could result in future proposals to the Foundation. I encourage you to review the DCL and seek ways where EPSCoR can become active participants in the initial stages of these opportunities. The link to the DCL is given below. Please disseminate broadly across your jurisdictions. Perhaps you can encourage retreats among senior academic administrations ( e.g., VPRs, VPRED, Deans, etc.) to develop national EPSCoR strategies to facilitate EPSCoR's engagement in significant ways.
Denise Barnes
Section Head, NSF EPSCoR
