Greetings Colleagues,

I received a notice of a grant workshop at OU that is provided by the Grant Training Center. Please beware that this company is not affiliated with any university or faculty researchers. It is a commercial company. The fact that it is located in a university facility does not validate it as a university research grant development workshop. The company leases space for the workshop, as they would lease hotel space.

I have no recommendations from faculty who have attended workshops organized by this company.

While you may receive good information at this workshop, I cannot verify its value, nor can I verify any information quality. The cost is high, and we have other opportunities for cost-free training that may be a more valuable use of your funds during this budget crisis.

If anyone has other information about this company or workshop that you would like to share, please let me know.
