Fellow CURs:

Please forward and encourage deserving female undergraduates to apply for the American Chemical Society WCC Overcoming Challenges Award. The winner receives $250 and up to $1000 to attend the ACS Fall National Meeting in Washington DC. More importantly, the student is given an incredible opportunity to attend an ACS meeting , meet with several high ranking individuals within the ACS, and be honored for her accomplishments both in and out of the classroom.

2. The applicant must have completed at least one semester of college-level chemistry.

3. The applicant must demonstrate via a cover letter that she has overcome hardships in pursuit of her education. Some examples of hardships include, but are not limited to, economic, personal or academic.
