Research Day at the Capitol Spotlights Oklahoma’s Top Undergraduate Researchers

What:             The Research Day at the Capitol awards ceremony recognizes exceptional undergraduate student researchers from around the state who have presented poster summaries of their work at the event. First-, second- and third-place awards will be distributed in research intensive and regional and community college categories in addition to a grand prize.

When:             11:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 27

Where:           Oklahoma State Capitol Blue Room, second floor
Who:               Twenty-three premier undergraduate student researchers representing 17 Oklahoma colleges and universities; Chancellor Glen D. Johnson; Dr. Jerry Malayer, Oklahoma EPSCoR state director and Dr. Ray Huhnke, Oklahoma National Science Foundation EPSCoR project director

Why:               Research Day at the Capitol is a showcase of the outstanding research conducted by undergraduate students enrolled at Oklahoma’s colleges and universities. It is an annual event sponsored by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, the Oklahoma Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (OK EPSCoR) and the National Science Foundation.
