[Okgrantsmanship] Death Announcement: Sheri Shatswell - CGR Member

Dear colleagues,
It is with great sorrow that I inform you of the passing of Sheri Dee Shatswell on Sept. 4, 2021, due to complications with COVID-19. Sheri began her NSU career over 14 years ago when she joined the Office of Grants and Contracts as an administrative secretary on April 30, 2007.
“Sheri was known for her deep love of God, her family and especially her grandchildren,” Susan Evans, Director of Research Administration, said. “Sheri touched so many lives in her time on earth. She was blessed with the voice of an angel and frequently sang at her church, weddings, and other events when requested. Sheri never met a stranger.”
Please keep Sheri’s spouse RJ and family in your prayers.
Visitation has been scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 9 between 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Locust Grove Funeral Home Chapel. A Memorial Service will take place at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10 at the Locust Grove Free Will Baptist Church.
