From fachesterl at usao.edu Thu Oct 5 11:14:43 2006 From: fachesterl at usao.edu (Lee Hester) Date: Thu Oct 5 11:13:54 2006 Subject: [OklahomaIndianStudies] Sorry for the delay Message-ID: <008101c6e899$5e04a1c0$200c000a@ahlab.usao.edu> Dear Oklahoma Indian Studies Colleagues: Because of my huge interest in starting a state Indian Studies association, and your appointment of me to facilitate this, I had intended to e-mail you with some initial thoughts (and heavy work assignments) right away this last Monday. Unfortunately, my Mother passed away last Saturday. As you can imagine, I have been attending to my family and have put many things on the "back burner." At the earliest, I hope to get out that initial e-mail next week and it may be three weeks before I do so since I have an address to deliver at Cornell in a couple of weeks. I hope this short delay is not a problem. Part of the reason why I was asked to facilitate is because of my great desire to get this off the ground. I just wanted to assure you that this delay isn't indicative of any lessening of that desire.
