I hope this communication finds you well. The next scheduled OneNet Advisory Council meeting has been set for November 29th, 2001 from 9:00 am to noon. Due to meeting room and scheduling limitations, we were not able to accommodate our usual Friday meeting date. Therefore, I hope that this date and time will still work within your respective schedules. We have discussed utilizing H.323 for those who are unable to make it to OKC and would like to again extend this opportunity. This will be an important meeting in that the OAC will need to take action on the OneNet Acceptable Use Policies that were discussed at our last meeting and subsequently posted at the last Regents' meeting on October 26th, 2001. A quorum will be needed for this to take place. The agenda and additional directions to the meeting location will be available within the next few days. At present we have four rsvps: Steve Shiever, Jon Walker, J.L. Albert, and myself. We need four more in order to have a quorum. The adoption of the new acceptable use policies are dependent on a quorum and need to be done in November so that the Regents Board can act on them at their December meeting as scheduled. Kurt says that anyone with access to a H.323 site can be accommodated to "attend" the meeting from a remote site so please feel free to contact him about setting that up. To park, please enter the east parking garage entrance (facing Lincoln Blvd. on the north side of the building). Be sure to bring your parking ticket with you to the second floor. You will need to present your ticket to our receptionist to get a token to exit the garage following the meeting. Though we are experiencing inclement weather this morning, it is anticipated that the snow will diminish later today and travel will hopefully not be too hazardous tomorrow.
