[Oneac] Next OAC Meeting.

Good morning.

Since out last meeting, many operational and organizational changes have occurred at OneNet.  The network has been working feverishly to reduce its commodity Internet rates as well as addressing the fiscal implications resulting from the current rate structure - not to mention state budget reductions.  These activities have kept me rather occupied and I apologize for not getting a summer meeting scheduled as planned.  Nevertheless, we are needing to have a meeting to discuss a number of items - most importantly the results of the OneNet rate study.

Due to the E-rate filing timeframes, it is necessary that we have a meeting in early October.  This will afford us the necessary time to have them approved by the State Regents and posted to meet federal deadlines.  Therefore, I am scheduling a meeting on October 10th at 9:00 am in the OneNet conference room.  If you wish to participate via H.323, please let me know and I will coordinate the technical specifics.  I am hopeful that utilizing H.323 will enable those under significant budgetary constraints and/or significant distances from OKC to participate.  It appeared to have worked very well at our last meeting. 

I will be forwarding an agenda in the coming week that will outline some of the operational changes and progress the network has made over the summer.
