Good evening,

Welcome to the S-SARA listserv!  This listserv was set up by the S-SARA Communications working group as a way for SARA state portal entities in the SREB region to communicate.  The working group has asked that this listserv operate under these parameters:


  1.  All emails sent to the listserv should be related to SARA or other state authorization issues.  This can include questions for the group, best practices, or any other helpful information you’d like to share.
  2.  Requests to add others to the listserv should come from the primary SPE contact and sent to kfoster at osrhe.edu<mailto:kfoster at osrhe.edu>.
  3.  This listserv is only meant for SPEs; SARA institutions should continue to communicate directly with their SPE to get questions answered.

In order to send an email to the listserv, address it to s-sara at lists.onenet.net<mailto:s-sara at lists.onenet.net> and it will go to all listserv members.  Please keep in mind that if you reply to a message received from the listserv, it will go to the entire listserv.  If you would like your message to go only to the sender when you reply, please be sure to change the “To” field in your email.

When you were subscribed to the list, you should have received a welcome email.  In this email, there is a link you can click to edit your preferences, along with your automatically generated password.  If you would like to receive messages in a digest format instead of each time one is sent, this is a setting that you can change in the interface.  If you send attachments with your message, please note that some email servers may scrub them since they are coming from a listserv address.

If you have any questions about the listserv, please don’t hesitate to let me know.  Hopefully this new communication tool will be valuable for our ongoing dialogue about SARA issues in our states and region.
