Mississippi led the nation in math and literacy gains on last year's National Assessment of Educational Progress, and its commitment to increasing achievement was honored with SREB's 2020 State Leadership Award. Alabama's DeKalb County School District was honored for its commitment to increasing literacy achievement in grades six through 12.
