Actually the funding is not the same as 1996.  We increased the
allocation for a residential academy a significant amount 3 years ago.

Hello Melanie,

 

I had my last academy grant in 1996 and the funding is still the same.

Travel costs have increased, housing has increased and food has more
than doubled.

It is very difficult to have a quality residential academy at the
present

Funding level.  I hope all of you tell the evaluators that we need more
funding

To maintain the quality.
