[USAO-Robertson] Housing Information: Winter Break

Hello Robertson Residents!

Thank you to everyone who came out last night to the meeting. For those who missed the meeting or prefer information in written form I have included the information below. Regardless of your attendance status, every resident is responsible for the information and expectations shared below. As always, let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I wish you all great success on your finals and hope that you have an amazing winter break.
ROBERTSON HALL WINTER HOUSING MEETING
DAVIS AMPHITHEATRE
9pm

TAKING CARE OF HOME WHILE YOU'RE GONE

·        24-hour quiet hours are in effect Sunday, 12.2 10:00PM to Thursday, 12.6 5:00PM. No exceptions.

·        Room requirements prior to leaving for an extended period of time over break:

o   Take out ALL trash

o   Unplug ALL small appliances from electrical outlets

§  Mini fridges are encouraged to be defrosted prior to leaving, but not mandatory

·        Start defrosting on Monday in your tub/shower

o   All food must be removed prior to leaving

§  Throw out food that will go bad while you are gone

§  We are not responsible for any damaged property or spoiled food lost due to power issues over winter break.

o   Turn off ALL lights and fans

o   Lock doors

o   You may be fined if you do not comply with these requirements


CHECKING OUT/NOT RETURNING SPRING 2019

·        If you do not plan on returning to housing in the spring (graduating, not enrolling in the Spring, moving off campus)

o   Go to Student Services and fill out a Housing Cancellation Form

§  If this not completed, residents will continued to be charged for the spring term

·        RA availability for check-outs: Email Mhinkle at usao.edu<mailto:Mhinkle at usao.edu> to confirm checkout date

o   Monday, 12.3 to Friday 12.7 7:00pm - 10:00pm at the front desk.

o   Saturday, 12.8 call RA phone between 10:00am - 5:00pm



SPRING 2019 CLASS REGISTRATION

·        All residential students must be enrolled into your spring classes before 8:00am on Friday, December 7th. Failure to register and enroll will result in move out by 5:00pm ion Saturday, December 8th. Please contact Student Services for any extenuating circumstances

·        If a hold on your account is keeping you from enrolling, please find out what that hold is and address the situation:

o   Business Office Hold: They can arrange payments

o   Student Services Hold: EverFi

o   Financial Aid Hold: Go to the Financial Aid Office

o   Registrar's Office Hold: They will need a transcript or need to discuss remedial classes with you
FALL HOUSING

·        Fall 2019 Housing Applications will be available Saturday, December 1st on a first come first serve basis.
DO YOU HAVE THE GUTS TO BE A RA?
Housing and Residence Life will be accepting RA Applications in the near future for the 2019-2020 academic year. Stay tuned via email for more details.
