[USAO-Robertson] Connecting your IoT/smart devices to the new WiFi network

Several of you have asked about how to connect your WiFi-capable smart devices (that aren't standard mobile computing devices like a smartphone/tablet/laptop) to the new WiFi network.
Such devices are typically referred to as IoT devices (Internet of Things<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_of_things>), and may even be called headless IoT devices if they don't include a GUI/screen to view their input directly.
IoT devices may include:
* Smart TVs
* Steaming appliances (e.g. Apple TV, Google Chromecast, Roku)
* Game consoles (e.g. PlayStation, XBox, Nintendo)
* Smart Assistants (e.g. Amazon Alexa, Apple Home)
So what's the problem?
IoT devices typically only have a very basic input for connecting to WiFi/wired networks. They usually don't have a method to log in to a WiFi server or accept authentication credentials (other than just a password). And while some smart TVs may include a simple built-in browser, that browser almost certainly doesn't have a mechanism (like smartphones/tablets/laptops do) to pass on secondary credentials to a WiFi server.
SOLUTION:
We are working with our wireless equipment vendor to provide options for automatically connecting IoT devices to our WiFi network without entering login credentials (other than perhaps an initial password). We will hopefully have this system in place by next week.
Stay tuned!
