[USAO-Robertson] IMPORTANT -- How to connect your smart/IoT devices to the campus WiFi

Here's how to connect your smart/IoT device to the campus WiFi network:

  1.  From a computer/smartphone, please visit https://guest.usao.edu/guest
  2.  Log in with your OneLogin credentials.

NOTE: for the username, just enter the first part of your USAO email address (without the "@usao.edu")

  1.  Click on the link for "Create Device" near the top left-hand corner (in the middle of the webpage).
  2.  Register your device by giving it an appropriate name for reference, and enter your device's MAC address.

NOTE: The MAC address needs to be entered without any colons or hyphens/dashes.

  1.  Make sure to enter the MAC address for your device's WiFi connection, and not for the wired/ethernet connection.
  2.  Go to your device, connect to the USAO-Drovers WiFi network, and enter the initial connections password: usaostudent

To find the MAC address of your device, please look for it under the Network Settings section of your smart/IoT device. The MAC address is sometimes also referred to as the physical address.



  *   You can register an unlimited number of WiFi-capable smart/IoT devices using the above instructions.
  *   Upon successful registration, your device will stay connected to the WiFi network for 6 months. You can re-register your device again at that time. Rinse, repeat.
