Hello!

Summer sessions are right around the corner, and it is time to make sure you have your summer housing complete. Lawson is the only housing facility open for the summer. Below is important information you need to know before you complete you summer housing application. Please read all the information before completing your summer housing application.


  1.  You need to be enrolled in either summer classes or fall classes. Enrollment will be verified.
  2.  You will need to be in good standing with the business office to stay in summer housing.
  3.  Lawson residents are not guaranteed that they will be able to stay in the same apartment they are currently in.
  4.  There are 3 summer sessions for housing. You will need to choose one of the following when applying for summer housing:
     *   Independent Study Only

                                                               i.      Move in: April 25

                                                             ii.      Move out: May 27

     *   Summer Only

                                                               i.      Move in: May 30

                                                             ii.      Move out: August 4

     *   Independent Study and Summer

                                                               i.      Move in: April 25

                                                             ii.      Move out: August 5

  1.  You will be notified when your new placement is ready.
  2.  If you applied for summer previously and it was canceled, please log back in, select "Housing Overview" and reapply for summer housing.

  4.  To help ensure you have a smooth transition to your new placement, please do not wait to begin packing. Belongings should be ready to move when you receive notification that your new placement is ready.


Room Selection
With eRezLife, you can select your roommates and your housing placement.  Once your application is complete, you will be added to the waiting area until the Room Lottery opens.

  *   What is the Lottery? The Lottery is where you will select which room you want
  *   What are my options? You may place yourself or you may create roommate groups and place the whole group. When creating your roommate group, everyone must have applied and have active university email accounts.
  *   How does the Lottery work? The Lottery works by assigning timeslots based on how early your application was submitted. There are four timeslots, with 25% of applicants each.
  *   How will I be notified of my timeslot? You will receive an email detailing which timeslot you have been assigned. Each timeslot gets one hour to decide their room before the next timeslot is allowed to come in.
  *   How long is the timeslot? After all of the timeslots have opened, you will have until the deadline (usually one full day) to finalize your room decisions. This information will be provided in the email you will receive.
  *   What happens if I miss my timeslot or if I have not applied for summer housing when the lottery opens? If your application isn't submitted before the deadline or you don't make a room decision, you will be automatically assigned based on your room and roommate preferences based on availability. Afterwards, you will receive an email with your room assignment details.
