We are excited to announce that the recruitment process for the 2025-2026 Resident Advisor (RA) team is now open! If you are passionate about building community, supporting your peers, and developing leadership skills, this is a fantastic opportunity for you.
We have a great tradition of excellence in our residence halls and apartments. Resident Advisors are essential to the on-campus experience and our housing and student life team. As an RA, you will have the opportunity to build leadership skills, while also developing skills that will be transferable long beyond your collegiate years. We are looking for individuals committed to building community, developing respectful environments, and serving as a resource for their fellow Drovers.

Position Overview: Resident Advisors (RAs) play a crucial role in Residence Life & Housing by performing administrative, programming, advising/counseling functions, and services for residents. As an RA, you will work towards the objectives of the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma Residence Life Program, committing your time, energy, and self-discipline to foster a supportive and engaging living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Participate in RA training, move-in, weekly staff meetings, and monthly one-on-one meetings.
* Perform administrative duties such as room check-in/out, maintenance work requests, and enforcing community codes.
* Develop and maintain relationships with residents, encouraging academic pursuits and involvement in campus activities.
* Complete programming requirements and intentional interactions with residents.
* Serve weekly duties, including evening and weekend duty rotations.
Requirements:
* Must be currently enrolled as a student at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.
* Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.7 to be considered and 2.5 once hired.
* Complete 12 hours of coursework each semester.
* Have lived on a college campus for at least one full fall or spring semester.
* Basic math skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office, and the ability to communicate effectively.
Compensation:
* Residence hall room and meal plan.
