From frank at onenet.net Thu Oct 3 15:30:33 2013 From: frank at onenet.net (Frank Hedges) Date: Thu, 03 Oct 2013 15:30:33 -0500 Subject: [VoIP] FW: phone lines In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: Hi Allie, Below are the inline response to the questions you forwarded to me from Tourism: How many phone extensions are on the VOIP system? 151 * * Do all of the VOIP phones have dedicated cabling or are they ?looped? through another device? OMES will need to address the network/switch architecture. * * How many dedicated fax lines are there? 1. Each of the 200 extensions has inbound fax capability to their extension as 230-8xxx + 200, so 230-8344 has a fax number of 230-8544. 2. From the last VG224 config there were 8 analog lines configured, but I currently do not have login access to either the fax appliance or the VG224 to determine how many analog lines connect to physical fax machines or to the fax appliance. * * The VG224 and fax appliance are property of Tourism. The fax appliance is not part of our standard VoIP service. Apparently we have provided some assistance in the past for remote-configuring new fax lines, but we do not currently have access to continue to assist with that. * * How many analog lines are we paying for and the monthly cost? Zero and monthly cost is $0.00 * * Do we own or are we renting the phone instruments? Own * * How many voice mail boxes do we have? 137 * * How many 800 lines do we have and what are the numbers? I have contacted AT&T to determine this. If Tourism has a list of 800 numbers that would help assist AT&T and OneNet validate those. * * Is there a location map where all of these lines are? OneNet does not have a building layout of device location. I would ask OMES or your facilities department for an office layout. * * Are there any other lines being billed to Travel Promotion that I have not listed? No. * * Current monthly billing for Department of Tourism: ? 96 Digital Telephony lines for $20 each = $1920.00 ? 127 voicemails for $5 each =$635.00 ? 1 management for $10.00 ? 1 voice circuit ror $20.00 ? Total bill is $2,585.00 I will followup as soon as I hear back from AT&T on the number of 800 numbers. Please let me know if you need anything sooner. The phones are limited in the calling they can perform, but it will give you an idea on what the new Cisco phones look like. The phone in the center is not functioning since our version of call manager doesn't currently support that model, but it can be upgraded to. To test a video call you can use the phone that has a video to call the phone on the opposite end of the table using just the 40xx extension on the phone. Thanks Frank Hedges PS Thanks to Joe Dubray and Joel Moore for getting the Csico switch up and running in the conference room. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
