[COPLAC-IR] FW: COPLAC Annual Data Profile Question.

Hi Elizabeth & all,

Based on Elizabeth's observations below, it would seem to make more sense to
leave the data profile as it stands. If you provide AY10-11 student and
faculty numbers (Sects. 1 & 3), but the AY09-10 financial aid supporting
students during fall 2009 and spring 2010 (Sect. 5), you would end up not
comparing apples to apples. It appears that it pretty much hinges on the
latest available financial aid numbers, which appears to be AY10. So all
sections referring to the profile of student need to remain in that time
frame. That would be my vote.does that make sense to you 'all?

Hi Lynn and everyone!

I am not sure of the history of why some of the metrics refer to the 10-11
CDS, but others use FA09 data. In Section II #6 and 7 refer to the 10-11
CDS, which would have be believe that most people would have the completed
to have this constructed in this manner.

I can provide the CDS data for 10-11, but there are some other metrics that
I don't have the data for 10-11 by the timetable that you are requesting yet
such as:

. Degrees awarded (Section II # 4-5)

. Alumni survey information (Section II #8)

. Financial aid budget (Section V #16c-j)

Additionally:

. Section III #12 refers to IPEDS HR Survey, but the FA09 not FA10,
which is the most recent IPEDS report that was locked.

. Section IV #13 and 14 refer to the IPEDS Finance report, which I
have as my most recent reported fiscal year (09-10)

. Section IV #15 (advancement) for me usually reports on the same
timetable as our FY (so 09-10 would make sense and be the most recent that I
can report).

I hope that this helps. Sorry for writing a massive amount.

~Elizabeth

Does anyone have an answer to Nancy's question below? I had always assumed
that it was because some schools do not have all of their information for
the current CDS so we do the latest year all schools have data for.is this
correct? Is there anyone who can't provide fall 2010 data in the survey
where it requests fall 2009 data?

Thanks!

Lynn,

Why isn't section I based on the 2010-11 Common Data Set instead of the fall
2009-10 since the fall 2010 information is available? Just wondering.
