[COPLAC-IR] COPLAC Data Profile 13-14 Collection

Dear COPLAC Institutional Research Colleagues,

I hope that your semester has been going well!  Over the Fall semester, I
have revised the COPLAC data profile collection based upon feedback that I
had received from the group at the last meeting as well as through
consultation with Bill Spellman and Lynn Boyce.  One of the primary
concerns that I have heard in the past was that there were questions
regarding definitions of specific elements contained within the data
profile.  As a result, I have modified the process for collection as well
as the elements contained within the profile.  All elements (except for
minor instances where they are most likely compiled already ex. SAT
averages) have been mapped to existing data sources (CDS, IPEDS, or Academe
from AAUP).  This mapping is contained within the Excel spreadsheet that
notes where the information can be located.  My hope is that this clarify
what is collected and on what timetable.

Additionally, I have created a Google form to submit the information rather
than emailing Excel documents.  If the need arises to substantially correct
data, please resubmit all data contained within the form.  After the
2013-14 profile collection is complete, I will send out a short feedback
form so that we can re-evaluate the process for future revisions, if
necessary.

Please submit the COPLAC data profile data to be by March 15th.  Here is
the link for the form: http://ow.ly/rFr3t.  This data is in between the
Winter and Spring collections for IPEDS.  I know that there are many
demands on all of the IR staff’s time, but I greatly appreciate your
