The field tests are from a completely different company. Each school should have been given which test you are to give(elementary tests, middle, high). You won't give all tests( at least not in OKCPS). :) You should have a different icon on the computer to click on for the English 2 and 3 tests.
At least in OKCPS, each school was given which field tests to take and what grade level. We are not giving all 3rd grade test; only the 3rd grade writing.

Good luck

So, I have a question.... were your "try out" questions on the regular EOI?... or is that a separate test? I am trying to figure out if your regular EOI English II online test took that long... or was it so long because you had extra "try out" questions included in that?.....

I also have wondered about the length of these tests. A student can take a 4 subject college entrance test in 4 hours but it take almost that long for 1 subject of EOI tests. I don't feel these tests would be such a burden to schools if they were able to complete them in an hour.

Subject: [Counselors] EOI testing- length of tests

Just wondering about time frame for other EOI subject tests... Since we were selected and are doing "try-outs" in addition to the many operational tests, the number of extra questions and the time it took to test caught us off guard. The new testing client requires advanced technology, so many of our computers are not able to accommodate, and our computer lab schedules are a delicate balance in sharing with all the other testing in our district.

So far we have just done the English Multiple choice. While this new TA manual for spring estimates 60 minutes for each section for English 2, I can tell you this was NOT the case. Our Eng 2 multiple choice had 80 questions including some constructed response. We started first thing in the morning and most were barely done by lunch, some took longer...

Our special ed group (that would have previously been taking an OMAAP) tested from 8:30am- 1:30pm with only a break. We would have let them go to lunch after section one if we would have known how LONG section 2 was...

Not to mention, you have stressed kids close together in a lab trying to concentrate and read, then you've got the kids next to them that are already on the constructed response typing away on the keyboard which makes distracting noise!!!!!!!!

Anyway, any advisement on time frame from those who have already administered any of the other subject tests would be great.

Thanks...
