Message from Nancy Reed, Keyes:
When I was the counselor at Guymon Junior High, we taught a class for leadership. It was called Pro-Team at first but name changed. It is done by State Regents. It is awesome, but I've been away from it a long time. Can't remember new name, but is taught by Michelle Davis at Jr. High. She does an awesome job. Number at Jr. High is 580-338-4360. Hope this helps.

We are looking for ideas for creating new classes that benefit our students. We would like to offer some sort of a service learning class that will help students work on volunteer projects, community and school involvement, and leadership skills. The idea for this class is to help students throughout their high school career gain volunteer hours, create projects to involve the community and school, and ways to give back to the community.
Do you offer a service learning class in your high school? If so, what projects or community service ideas do you incorporate in the class? Do you offer a year long or a semester class? Basically, what do you in this class?

Thank you for your time and feedback.
