[Counselors] Fine Arts/Speech Credit

[OSRHE EPAS PK-12 Counselor Discussion Board]

My Ag teacher said Guy Shoulders, his NE district supervisor said students just have to take the intro to communications test they don’t have to pass it to get art credit…Is there any documentation you can send me verifying this either way please.

Also, there is an AG class, intro to communication, that can count as a speech credit if the students pass the exit online test for it.

I am aware of that, our World History teacher is also our Art teacher. So, he is highly qualified.

Please note that if you are embedding fine art credit into another class, the teacher who teaches it must be certified and highly qualified to teach the fine art credit as well as the class inwhich it is embedded per the state department.

How are other small school handling the Fine Arts or Speech Credit?  What class are you offering to meet this credit and at what level?
