[Counselors] Math Title Teacher

We offer math and reading remediation in grades 7--8 as well as HS if a student fails the previous year's assessment. This remediation class is optional and is taken on top of their normal reading and/or math class, so the students must give up an elective. Our teacher works with math and reading students the same hour in the computer lab. She uses Think Through Math and Reading Theory.

Turpin school would like to hire another math teacher to work with students that are still having difficulty passing the math assessments, even after remediation. I am looking for ways that other schools use a title teacher for math in the 6-11 grade ranges.  Are the students enrolled in 8th grade math, as well as a math remediation class?   Is there a curriculum that is followed in the remediation class?  What qualifies a student to be enrolled in the class?  Any help or ideas would be useful.
