[Counselors] Art and Music for 7th and 8th grades

Hope everyone is having a good week.  I have a question concerning music and art.  We require students in the 7th and 8th grade to rotate through 9 weeks of music and 9 weeks of art during their 7th grade and then again
their 8th grade year.  I was wondering what other schools did with their 7th and 8th music and art as we are looking at more instruction time and going to a six subject day with longer classes rather than the 7 sections.
