It is not necessarily comprehensive but it is one strategy that may be helpful. One of the more interesting points was the part about not engaging in their argument in order to remain in control and in authority.

I am dealing with an eight year old boy that lies continually at school and home.  He has been referred for community counseling, but the parents have not followed through with the recommendation.  I have exhausted my resources trying to address this habitual problem with him.  Does anyone out there have any ideas or suggestions for me?  Thanks!
