Here's what we do at Beggs Elementary:

September: PEACE WEEK--- anti-bullying emphasis

October: 1) Career Day---Speakers talk to classrooms about their job, also the police, fire, ambulance, electric, etc. bring their trucks and park outside for classes to visit during Careers on Wheels 2) School-Wide Carnival and 3) Red Ribbon Week

November: Native American Month and Food Drive

December: Angel Tree and Caroling downtown

January: Kindness Week and MLK emphasis

February: Black History Month

March: Get Ready for Testing

April: TESTING---no programs or field trips during testing

May: Cinco de Mayo and Field Day

I was wondering if any of you have a yearly calendar or yearly schedule of Guidance Programs that you implement in your schools that you could share with me (i.e. October Bullying Prevention).  I am just trying to get some new ideas to incorporate, and I would appreciate any thoughts or suggestions that you guys have.  Thanks!
