Have you looked at Rosetta Stone which is a computer based program to help? We have an awesome EL coordinator in our district, Cindi Leiter. I am sure she could answer question or guide you.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do with the EL kids that cannot pass the 8th grade reading test or alternative test to get their DMV letter for their license? We've had kids move in from Mexico that were born here and have their US citizenship, but cannot speak or read the language at a level proficient enough to get their license. Are there any new exceptions or accommodations that we can use for these kids that I am not aware of? Thanks!

We do not even have a local foreign language taught here (ours are taught through Edgenuity). We also do not have any students that speak Spanish fluently. Do any of you have a similar situation and how do you teach them?
