At their meeting on March 23, the State Regents approved a permanent policy for the tuition waiver for concurrently-enrolled high school seniors. The tuition wavier had been offered during 2005-06 on a pilot project basis. The tuition wavier policy applies only to state system institutions. You can find the text of the policy (its just one paragraph) on p. 69 of the Regents agenda at http://www.okhighered.org/state-system/pdf/2006-3-web_agenda.pdf .

The policy authorizes the waiver for up to six credit hours per semester or summer term. It defines a "high school senior" as a student who has completed their junior year but has not yet graduated. Theoretically, a student could use the wavier for a total of 18 hours of college credit-- 6 in the summer following their junior year, 6 in their senior fall semester, and 6 in their senior spring semester.

There are minimum academic requirements for high school seniors to be eligible to take concurrent enrollment courses. They vary by the type/tier of college. You can find them at http://www.okhighered.org/student-center/jrhigh-highscl/earncredit.shtml (you'll need to scroll down the page some). There are no family income limits or restrictions to qualify for the waiver. The waiver does not cover other mandatory fees (activity fees, facility fees, library fees, technology fees, etc.) or the cost of books.
