[Oasfaa] 2011 State Regents Grants and Scholarships Workshop

On July 11, 2011, OSRHE will host a training session that will review
the latest information regarding Oklahoma Tuition Aid Grant, Oklahoma's
Promise, and the Academic Scholars Program. This will be a great
professional development opportunity! 



The training will be held in the PHF Conference Center located on the
first floor of the Regents' offices at 655 Research Parkway, OKC, OK
73104.

9:00-10:00    

General Session 

The day will begin with an opportunity for you to hear the latest
information regarding Oklahoma Tuition Aid Grant, Oklahoma's Promise,
Academic Scholars, and other available State Regents' programs. 

 

Presenters: Irala Magee, Director of Scholarship and Grant
Administration, Carol Alexander, Scholarship Coordinator, Oklahoma's
Promise, and LaTreece Langston, Scholarship Programs Coordinator

 

10:15-11:30  (Breakout Sessions)       

Academic Scholars Program (ASP)

This session will dive into the details of processing certification
forms, rules for leave of absence, transfer, and summer award policies.
This session will also include a panel discussion of how several schools
are handling their program. 

 

Presenters: LaTreece Langston, Scholarship Programs Coordinator, Pam
Hicks, University of Oklahoma, Nancy Moats, University of Science & Arts
of Oklahoma, Dean Fisher, Rose State College, and Elizabeth Rector, The
University of Tulsa

                        

Oklahoma's Promise (OKPromise)

This session will swim through the specifics of completing an OKPromise
claim form.  We will also cover supplemental claims, refunds, as well as
adjusted awards and will answer any questions you may have.  We will
also touch on the recent legislative changes to the program and how that
will affect claim processing.

11:30-1:00    Lunch (On Your Own)

            

1:00-2:15  (Breakout Sessions)
