[Oasfaa] Tax Return Transcript

Thanks for the feedback, everyone!  Below is a summary of all of the responses.  Sounds like the IRS is functioning with all the consistent urgency and efficiency that you would expect from them. :)

I've had a parent that has requested one and they have been waiting over 3 weeks.

ICTC has had some delay for some and not for others.

Yes, I have had several wait 3 weeks or more. Two over 30 days.

Yes, several have reported 3-4 weeks!!!!  Other complaints are about not the new user ID/pass word, even when they copy and paste them.

Yes, long delays.  The online system has not worked since it was "hacked."

All requests are by paper - and very inconsistent about time.  But at least a month.  I've one student that has been waiting a couple of months.  I'm sure her must be lost.   I've asked to re-submit her request.

Just the normal 5-10 days on most cases.
If the student is in need of them quickly I have them go to the OKC office and that has been pretty productive.

We haven't seen any real delay with any of our students trying to get them unless they've moved and have a new address!!

Not beyond the 5-10 days the IRS states on their website.  We have had recent tax filers who couldn't get one that quickly because their taxes were still being processed.  But that has been happening all year and was anticipated by IRS and ED.
But while we are on the subject, we've had a good number of families affected by the IRS hacking and/or IRS identity theft.  That has caused considerable angst.

Yes, but with the on-line down, they had allowed walk-in service.  So the student/parent can get it on the spot.
