Hi,

We recently were contacted by another university as we have a student simultaneously enrolled at both of our institutions and packaged to their annual loan limit at both institutions. Oops! They were notified through NSLDS transfer monitoring process and reached out to us. We hadn't flagged her as needing to be added to the transfer monitoring as she was a readmit who got her undergrad with us, and we weren't aware she was starting classes somewhere else at the same time she was coming to our institution.

Is transfer monitoring the only way to catch these? What practices do you all have in place to catch these type of situations? This is the first time in the last 7 years that I've seen it happen, so hopefully it's just a one off!

Thanks in advance!

Sincerely,

Tirzah Knight
