Director of Financial Aid
Avila College
Kansas City, Missouri

Avila College (see www.avila.edu), a Catholic institution sponsored  by
the Sisters of St. Joseph in suburban Kansas City, Missouri, seeks a
dynamic, experienced Director of Financial Aid.  As the chief financial
aid administrator, the Director of Financial Aid reports to the
Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs and supervises two
professional and one support staff.

The new Director of Financial Aid will be responsible for day-to-day
leadership and performance of the Financial Aid Department; he/she will
manage all office personnel and systems to ensure the timely delivery of
institutional, federal, state and private financial assistance to
eligible Avila students in compliance with government regulations and
College policies and procedures.  Under the guidance of the new
Director, the Financial Aid Department is expected to continue or exceed
it's current level of excellence as evidenced by the College's low
Stafford Loan default rate (most recent:  3.8%), record of no material
audit findings in many years, and a student satisfaction with services
rate of 95%.

The applicant must possess a Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred) and
have at least five years of financial aid experience, including a
minimum of two years supervisory experience.   In addition, the
applicant must be familiar with the relevant technology and data
exchanges, have detailed knowledge of Title IV regulations, and be able
to perform all necessary reporting functions.

The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and
education.
