ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR
FINANCIAL AID
 

The Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado, invites nominations and applications for the position of Associate Director of Financial Aid. 

CSM is a public institution offering bachelors, masters and PhD degrees. The enrolment is approximately 2,200 undergraduates and 800 graduate students.

The Associate Director is an integral part of the enrolment management team, including the Director of Enrolment Management, Director of Admissions, Director of Financial Aid, and Admissions Data Analyst. The Associate Director is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Financial Aid Office, and will work with the Director on the formulation and implementation of policies and procedures. In addition, specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: management and supervision of the office staff, including 3 Assistant Directors, a financial aid data technician/analyst, and the office manager; counseling of prospective students and families; scholarship and need-based awarding for new students; system development and oversight of all functions of the SCT-SIS+ computer system, including on-line award and missing information letters, job location system, and loan processing system; on and off-campus financial aid presentations.

Qualifications for the position include a bachelor's degree (masters preferred), 3-5 years of financial aid experience, excellent communications skills, and a demonstrated proficiency in leadership and supervision. Prior experience with the SIS+ computer system a plus.
