The start of the AIDU has been delayed for a couple of weeks.  The anticipated start date is now March 14.  Emails will be sent prior to that.  Sorry for any inconvenience.

. . . . . .Each year, the Higher Learning Commission requires each affiliated institution to provide an update on organizational characteristics. Participation in the Annual Institutional Data Update (AIDU) is a requirement of affiliation with the Commission.

. . . . . .The Commission's dues as well as some of its evaluation processes are based on the information your institution provides on the AIDU. Therefore, it is essential that those who complete the AIDU clearly understand the instructions and definitions for each section as well as their implications for the accrediting relationship. You have designated the following individuals as responsible for coordinating and submitting this year's report.

Data Update Coordinator - Isabelle Billen

Please note that the Institutional Liaison Officer (ALO) is a new role defined by the Commission and communicated to institutions earlier this year. If you have questions about the ALO, please contact the Commission staff liaison assigned to your institution.

. . . . . .This year we will be relating many of the AIDU data to their corresponding IPEDS locations. We hope that this will make it easier to identify the correct information. Additional changes in the 2010-2011 AIDU will include:

  *   requests for additional information about your institution's relationship with other accrediting agencies;
  *   data entry that will be limited to the current year, so that it will not be possible to edit information provided for prior years;
  *   use of 2010 CIP Codes to identify all programs: any new program information will require the correct CIP Code and some existing program information will need to be updated.

. . . . . .Your 2010-2011 Annual Institutional Data Update Report will be accessible through the Commission's Web site from March 1-April 18. In February, we will send you a link to your institution's report, as well as information on how to access instructional videos to assist those responsible for completing the report. . . . . . .
