REQUIRED:
Master's Degree in education, social sciences, business, or research (Ph.D./Ed.D. preferred); minimum of three to five years proven experience in institutional research.

JOB SUMMARY:
The position provides leadership for institutional research in alignment with the university's strategic and master plans. The Director will focus on strategic quality improvement that is student-centric, accountability-driven and oriented toward institutional growth and development. This position will develop, implement and monitor research designs that produce value-added outcome measures to facilitate informed decision-making and improve performance and competitiveness of the institution. The Director will also be involved in institutional efforts to secure external funding and resources to advance the institution.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Works with the VP of Academic Affairs, the assessment committee, academic division leaders and faculty to develop measures for student academic achievement. Identifies and implements multiple means of assessing student academic achievement in programs of study, beginning with entry assessments, and continuing through mid-level and graduation assessments to employment follow-up. Utilize feedback loops to identify needed changes.
* Responsible for research design that gathers, analyzes and reports data relevant to various institutional priorities such as student persistence, remediation efforts, enrollment trends, degree completion, and other related topics as requested. Includes but not limited to report cards, student satisfaction surveys, course evaluations, employer satisfaction surveys, employee climate surveys and other similar queries.
* Works with the VP of Institutional Advancement and the Marketing and Communications staff to analyze and utilize data relevant to branding, positioning and targeted marketing strategies for the institution. Works with the marketing and communications team to produce an annual institutional achievement report for distribution.
* Works with the VP of Student Services and staff to utilize data to develop targeted recruitment strategies to increase enrollment and success.
* Produces accurate and timely reporting for internal and external customers. Organizes and delivers oral and written reports for administrative and/or faculty decision making as well as responds to external requests by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association, and other such constituencies. Serves on various committees as needed to provide statistical interpretation of data for discussion.
* Provides needed data and assistance to support OSUIT alumni and donor relations.
* Establishes and maintains good working relationships with colleagues, staff, administrators, and governmental agencies. Represents the College in the most positive manner with all constituencies we serve.
